{"id":3997,"date":"2019-04-11T04:55:48","date_gmt":"2019-04-11T04:55:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/winkle.loc\/views-on-taikwun\/"},"modified":"2019-04-11T04:55:48","modified_gmt":"2019-04-11T04:55:48","slug":"views-on-taikwun","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.winkle-picker.com\/zh-hant\/views-on-taikwun\/","title":{"rendered":"Views on Tai Kwun"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-355\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winkle-picker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/IMG_4498.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s been nearly a year since the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.winkle-picker.com\/projects\/tai-kwun-centre-for-heritage-and-arts\/\">Tai Kwun Centre For Heritage &amp; Arts<\/a> opened in Hong Kong, and we thought we&#8217;d take a look at what views on Tai Kwun the most important people \u2013 the visitors \u2013 have, especially about the heritage interpretation. 89% of respondents on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tripadvisor.com\/Attraction_Review-g294217-d14143982-Reviews-Tai_Kwun-Hong_Kong.html\">TripAdvisor<\/a>\u00a0rated the overall experience excellent or very good.\u00a0Here is a selection of views on Tai Kwun from those visitors\u00a0&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This is an absolute \u201cmust see\u201d if you have a two or three hours to spare. The old police headquarters has a small museum of pictures and descriptions of the origins of the HKG police force &#8211; fascinating! The old penitentiary shows where the prisoners were kept, worked out, punished, fed, what happened during health crises, etc. very interesting. All in all this place has lots to do and see, and is free! Don\u2019t miss it!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This is a great restoration and reuse success story. The old Hong Kong police station and barracks are perfectly adapted to be a museum, art gallery, restaurants and bars.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Exploring Tai Kwun was a wonderful experience, our only mistake was not allowing enough time to discover all that it has to offer, all up we only stayed for one hour.
