A new book titled “CLP Clock Tower: Rebirth of a Hong Kong Icon” has been published by the Hong Kong Heritage Project. The book chronicles the conservation initiatives, guiding principles, and challenges faced during the revitalisation of the historic CLP Tower, including an entire chapter of the major role played the museum exhibitions within the project.

The revitalisation project converted the famous tower and the former CLP head office complex in Mongkok into a modern museum and cultural centre. Three main exhibition areas use multimedia and interactive displays to tell different stories. ElectriCity covers the history of electricity in Hong Kong and the journey toward a zero-carbon future. Our Home · Our History is an interactive gallery presented by the Hong Kong Heritage Project, showcasing the Kadoorie family’s contribution to Hong Kong’s development.

Many of the building’s original features, such as the central staircase and light well, have been carefully conserved. Guided tours led by conservation architects provide behind-the-scenes stories of the revitalisation process. Visitors can find collections of books on CLP’s development, the tower’s history, and environmental topics.
