HSBC Wealth Centre, Hysan Place

Hong Kong

Working with HSBC Archives, we brought heritage into a new commercial concept for HSBC’s ultra high-net worth customers.

“I love this interesting anecdote of Hong Kong history, while simultaneously creating a work that reflects today’s animation technology.”

Elaine Kwok, former Director at Christie’s.

Project Details

HSBC’s second Wealth Management Centre at Hysan Place, Causeway Bay, provides high-net-worth clients with a series of leading and digital wealth management solutions. The new facility covers more than 13,000 square feet with 33 individual meeting rooms. In addition to leading wealth solutions, customers can also enjoy one-stop, market-first professional medical services provided by HSBC Insurance Premium Health Management Center on the same floor.

On top of a prime location that is within easy reach, sustainability, innovation and digital art are perfectly blended into the new wealth centre to bring high-net-worth clients a whole new experience. While enjoying tailored, personalised banking services in a comfortable, friendly environment, the client and the family can immerse themselves in an innovative storytelling experience.

A major feature of the space is a unique digital experience entitled ‘Threads of Life’ evocatively embodying the values of HSBC’s Wealth Centre’s service inspired by the magnificent silk tapestry held by the HSBC Archives presented to Sir Thomas Jackson by Chinese merchants in 1902. The digital animation fully utilises the two screens within the Hysan Place Wealth Centre, sometimes in concert, sometimes independently. Another part of this experience is the Heritage Corridor, almost like a mini museum, that exhibits a collection of old banknotes, photos and documents of great historic value, a testament to the long history of HSBC in Hong Kong.
