Singapore City Gallery

URA Headquarters, Singapore

This tells the story of how the city transformed itself from a humble trading port to a first-world metropolis in just 50 years through insightful urban planning.

Our other project for the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) in Singapore: Singapore City Gallery Upgrade

Project Details

Having worked on the original gallery opened over 15 years ago, we were asked to undertake an extensive interpretive plan and design upgrade working with our partners in Singapore. A key attraction is the massive architectural model of the city centre, brought to life with a light and sound show, as well as a 270-degree panoramic show that depicts scenes of daily life in Singapore from dusk to dawn. It is a multi-sensory experience that takes you deep into Singapore’s exciting planning journey.

This pioneering urban planning centre acts as an education hub for the public and professionals to appreciate city planning, urban development and architecture where visitors can discover and participate in the story of the nation’s planning efforts.
